FSG (Zambia) Limited t/a Ideal Funeral Home markets various funeral benefit plans underwritten by African Life Assurance Company Zambia Limited. There are various plans offered which  are customised to suit each segment of the community based on needs and affordability. 

Currently , there are various groups which cater for individuals, corporate and informal groups 

 

Individual Funeral Plans

We cater for a maximum of 7 members per family;  principal member and spouse; and 5 children under 21, plus additional members i.e. parents, relatives and extended families. Up to 6 additional family members can be added to the policy as needed.

Group  Funeral Plans

These are all groups formed with a minimum of 20 individuals who share simillar characteristics or interests. We provide cover for burial societies, churches, football clubs, choir teams, family groups and corporate groups. Companies can also take up group policies for their employees as part of employee welfare initiatives.

Standard terms and conditions

  • All new policies attract a once off joining fee at K20 per nuclear family , K20 per single member and  K10 per additional member
  • Any person over 21 years (except a legally recognised spouse) is registered as an additional member;
  • The maximum age of entry for all policies is 64 years as a principal member and 74 years as an additional member;
  • There is a 3 months waiting period which does not apply in case of accidental death;
  • There is a 24 months waiting period for suicide death claims;
  • Top-ups are allowed at the time of claim;
  • Our schemes are non refundable.

 

Claim process requirements

The following documents are required to make a claim under the funeral policy:

  • Policy document;
  • Authorization letter (in case beneficiary is not principal member);
  • NRC copy (of the deceased);
  • NRC copy (of principal member/beneficiary);
  • Death certificate or notification.
